What is chiropractic?
Chiropractic is a profession whose goal is the recovery and maintenance of optimal health. Chiropractic is a natural art of healing without the use of medicine and a science specialized in the prevention and management of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the effect of these disorders on the functioning of the nervous system, health and quality of life in general.
In Quebec, chiropractors are first contact health professionals who have completed an undergraduate doctoral degree. They are empowered to make a diagnosis, determine the indication and non-indication of chiropractic treatments, establish a prognosis and determine the nature and frequency of the examinations and treatments required in each case where they are called upon to intervene .
In addition, it is a regulated and recognized profession in all Canadian provinces.
